The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) has reached a historic milestone in public service excellence. The Civil Service Commission (CSC), through Resolution No. 2600787 promulgated on June 17, 2026, has officially conferred the PRIME-HRM Bronze Award (Maturity Level II) upon the institution.
This prestigious recognition highlights the successful transformation and elevation of the human resource management systems, competencies, and practices of the ASIST to a level of excellence that ensures efficient and effective public service delivery.
The Bronze Award is given to agencies that successfully meet strict Maturity Level II indicators across four core human resource management areas: Recruitment, Selection, and Placement (RSP); Performance Management (PM); Learning and Development (L&D); and Rewards and Recognition (R&R).
Following a comprehensive online assessment, ASIST was found to be fully compliant with civil service laws, rules, and regulations, demonstrating exemplary maintenance of HR records and structural systems. As a Bronze Awardee, ASIST now enjoys several institutional privileges, including the authority to take final action on appointments (subject to post-audit) and exclusive training opportunities with the Civil Service Institute.
This achievement is a direct reflection of the collaborative spirit defining the institution. A milestone of this magnitude would not have been possible without the shared commitment, professionalism, and hard work demonstrated by every faculty member, administrative staff, and employee across the entire ASIST community.
Special recognition goes to the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO). Their tireless efforts, technical preparation, and unwavering dedication in addressing HR system gaps and steering the self-assessments paved the way for this monumental victory.
As ASIST celebrates this triumph, the institution firmly commits to maintaining its high standards, continually enhancing its human resource frameworks, and aiming for even greater heights of institutional excellence in the years to come.
Congratulations to the ASIST Community!
